We now have PICK-YOUR-OWN MUSCADINES for $1.25/lb. Currently, the Tara (white variety)
and Ison (red variety) are available and theScarlets (pink variety) are starting to ripen. We should have grapes available through mid-October, so bring a picnic lunch and a pail and come on out!
The winery and hospitality room are open to the public-
Thursday through Sunday from 12 noon to 5 p.m.

Benjamin Vineyards & Winery is a family owned and operated farm winery located in the Haw River Valley AVA in central North Carolina.
Situated just outside the picturesque town of Saxapahaw along the Haw River, the sandy loam soil of our vineyard is ideal for growing Muscadine grapes--including Scuppernong, the nation's first cultivated wine grape--as well as viniferous French wine grapes and French-American hybrid wine grapes.
Come visit our winery where the wines are barrel-fermented and receive individualized attention from the vine to the bottle. We offer a variety of palate-tempting award-winning wines ranging in taste from traditional dry dinner wines to sweet country favorites. We have seasonal wines, too!
You can tour our vineyards, pick some grapes for sampling, and even enjoy lunch at our picnic tables or on our covered porch. After touring the vineyard, you can browse our gift shop and enjoy the artwork on display by local artists. We feature a new artist every two months.

Benjamin Vineyards & Winery has joined with three other wineries to form the Haw River Wine Trail, an approximately 50-mile long trail, that brings you the best of North Carolina Wine Country. Travel this scenic drive through the heart of rural North Carolina and taste a variety of different wines as you follow the path of the Haw River. Close proximity to both Triangle and Triad hotels, restaurants, and bed and breakfast spots makes this a wonderful, convenient way to spend a leisurely afternoon or weekend.

We are conveniently located off Interstates 40 and 85, located between the Piedmont Triad and the Research Triangle.
From Interstate 85- Take exit 154 (Mebane Oaks Road) south 12.5 miles to Saxapahaw. Cross the Haw River bridge, 1/4 mile turn left on Whitney Road. Vineyard & Winery are 1.2 miles on the left.
From Chapel Hill/Carrboro- Go south on Jones Ferry Rd. Turn right on Old Greensboro Hwy. Go approximately 12 mi. Just before the town of Eli Whitney, turn right on Whitney Rd. (0.2 mi. past Eli Whitney Rec. Center). Benjamin Vineyards is 1.25 mi. on right.
From Burlington/Greensboro- Take Interstate 40/85 East to Rt. 87 South (Exit 147). Go South on Rt. 87 about 12 miles to Church Rd. (sign to Saxapahaw). Turn left on Church Rd. Go 1/4 mi. and bear right on Whitney lane. Go 1/4 mi. and turn right on Whitney Rd. Entrance to Benjamin Vineyards is 1 mi. on left.
From Pittsboro- Take Rt. 87 North approximately 15 mi. to Eli Whitney (flashing yellow light at intersection); turn right. Go 1/8 mi.; turn left onto Whitney Rd. Entrance to Benjamin Vineyards is 1.25 mi. on right.
From Raleigh- Take 64 west to Pittsboro. Take Rt. 87 North approximately 15 miles to Eli Whitney (flashing yellow light at intersection). Turn right; go 1/8 mi and turn left onto Whitney Rd. Entrance to Benjamin Vineyards is 1.25 mi. on right.
From Hillsborough- Take Interstate 85 West to exit 154. Go south on Mebane Oaks Rd. for 8.5 mi. Cross Hwy 54 (road becomes Saxapahaw-Oaks Rd.). Go 4 mi; just over the Haw River bridge, turn left onto Whitney Rd. Entrance to Benjamin Vineyards is 1.25 mi. on left
From Durham- Take Rt. 15-501 South to Route 54 West. Approximately 10 west of Chapel Hill, turn left onto Saxapahaw-Oaks Rd (called Mebane Oaks Rd. to the north). Go 4 mi.; just over the Haw River bridge, turn left onto Whitney Rd. Entrance to Benjamin Vineyards is 1.25 mi. on left.
